Turning on PayPal notifications

  1. Login to your account on PayPal.com
  2. Access your PayPal IPN (Instant Payment Notification) settings here: https://www.paypal.com/us/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=_profile-ipn-notify
  3. Go to 'Edit Settings'
  4. For the Notification URL, use this: https://integrations.getwhiplash.com/subscribe/paypal
  5. Under IPN Messages, select "Receive IPN Messages (Enabled)".
  6. Click "Save"

Starting now, payments you receive will trigger an order to be created in Whiplash. Orders should be visible in Whiplash within a few minutes, and a history of notifications sent can be found on your IPN History page.

Setting Item Names/SKUs

The Item Number in your PayPal Checkout form should match your item SKU in Whiplash.

If orders are not appearing in your Whiplash order summary, check to make sure they are being sent by Paypal here: https://www.paypal.com/us/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=_display-ipns-history.

For each payment you've received in Paypal, there should be a Message ID with a delivery status of Sent. If the delivery status is anything other than Sent or you still have questions, share the contents of the Message with Whiplash Support.
